ROCKY MOUNTAINEER MAY 21 - 30, 2026

YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN THE ENCANTERRA TRAVEL CLUB - 2026 Group Departure on Rocky Mountaineer

Our journey begins in Vancouver for for 2 nights in Vancouver giving you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and experience this beautiful city.  The best is yet to come!  3 days onboard Rocky Mountaineer In Gold Leaf first class service where you will be pampered, entertained and experience the finest cuisine!


From Vancouver to Whistler with spectacular view of Howe Sound, the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi and Cheakamus Canyon, overnight in Whistler.    Our Second day - board the Rocky Mountaineer train and travel to the charming rural town of Quesnel, the gateway to the North Cariboo  enjoing breathtaking and varied scenery, from the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley, through the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon, to rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Cariboo Plateau. Highlights include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacier-fed Seton Lake, sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, and the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. 


Your day concludes as the train follows the banks of the Fraser River into Quesnel.  Our Third day on board - Early in the morning, your journey continues eastward to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park.  From Quesnel, Rocky Mountaineer follows the Fraser River north to the town of Prince George, then travels east through the forests of northern British Columbia, home to plentiful wildlife, including a large population of moose, caribou and bears. Upon entering the Rocky Mountain Trench, you are surrounded by the steeply rising Rocky Mountains to the north and the Cariboo Mountains to the south.   You'll continue climbing past Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet), the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, through Yellowhead Pass into the province of Alberta. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Jasper in the evening. Overnight in Jasper. B, L.

  • Free Day in Vancouver - Enjoy the day with free time to relax or book your own activities at your leisure. Vancouver has activities for all interests, including visiting historic Gastown, dining in lively Yaletown, or enjoying a walk on the Stanely Park Seawall. No matter what you choose to do, the Coast Mountains and the Pacific Ocean surround you.   Optional activities to pre book will be provided!

Saturday, MAY 23, 2026

  • North Vancouver to Whistler on board the Rocky Mountaineer (transfers from hotel to train included) - Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to the resort town of Whistler, renowned for outstanding skiing and year-round outdoor activities. Following your check-in at and motorcoach transfer from your downtown Vancouver hotel, board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the North Vancouver Platform for a breathtaking rail journey through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. Highlights of the trip include spectacular views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon. 
  • On arrival at the Whistler train station, between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM, you will be transferred to your hotel. 
  • The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
  • On the way to your hotel enjoy a stop at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Center - Enjoy admission to the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. Explore a collection of contemporary art, historical artifacts, and exhibits from the Squamish and Lil'wat Nations - the original peoples of the shared territories in Whistler. Visit a traditional Istken Pithouse and Longhouse or enjoy a walk through the Salish Stroll Forest.
  • Your transfer will drop you off at your Whistler Hotel:  Details of your accommodation in Whistler will be provided at the time of check-in. You will stay in well located 4-star accommodations with quality amenities and excellent service.

Sunday, MAY 24, 2026

  • Motorcoach transfer:  Whistler Hotel to Whistler Station
  • Rocky Mountaineer train (day 2) Whistler to Quesnel - Get transfered by motorcoach to Pemberton where you will board the Rocky Mountaineer train to travel to the charming rural town of Quesnel, gateway to the North Cariboo.   • You will arrive in Quesnel between 7:00pm and 9:00pm PT.
  • Spend the evening exploring the town, or relaxing in your hotel.
  • Accomodations:  Details of your accommodation in Quesnel will be provided at the time of check-in. You will stay in moderate  three-star or four-star accommodation with essential amenities and great service. While these accommodations are clean and comfortable, they may not be as luxurious as those in other destinations on your journey.   (Note Quesnel is a lumbering and former Gold Rush town and rapidly seeing new growth)
  • Dinner on your own

Monday, MAY 25, 2026

  • Motorcoach transfer from Quesnel Hotel to Quesnel Station 
  • Rocky Mountaineer 3rd day - Your journey continues to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. Highlights include the Fraser River, the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and Yellowhead Pass. 
  • Your rail journey ends today on arrival in Jasper between 8:30 PM and 10:30 PM.
  • Transfer to your hotel for the evening
  • Enjoy a standard guest room at a superior hotel, offering a comfortable space to relax and unwind. Specific hotel and room category to be confirmed.   Please note: Not all hotels throughout the Canadian Rockies, in Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise have air conditioning in their guestrooms.   • Lunch - Enjoy a buffet lunch this afternoon at the Columbia Icefield.  Please confirm your dining location upon check-in.  Alcoholic beverages are available for an additional cost.
